In the Buddhist tradition, giving is a practice of the heart. At LP Chalee Hermitage, every act of generosity, whether through time, service, or offerings.
In Thai, the word for generosity, nam jai, means "water from the heart." Each offering is not only a support to the monastery, but also a git to oneself, a reminder of compassion, gratitude, and interconnectedness.
Food Offerings
Daily almsgiving is a living tradition. Bringing food to the monastery supports the monks' simple lifestyle and provides an opportunity to cultivate mindfulness and gratitude.
