Our Journey
At BodhiTreePath.org is a weekly blog born from a simple experience: returning to a Thai Buddhist temple after many years and discovering the calm clarity of meditation and teachings once again. At LP (Luang Por) Chalee Hermitage, a meditation center, I join gatherings to offer food to monks, participate in meditation, and listen to Phra (monk) Bryan's teachings on Sunday afternoons. These experiences bring reflection, calm, and fresh perspectives on life.
Buddhist teachings can be challenging to understand - the 5 (and 8) precepts, the Eightfold Path, and mindfulness practices aren't always easy to apply. In this blog, I hope to explore these teachings gradually, layer by layer, connecting them with food, culture, and everyday life in ways that allow the lessons to unfold naturally and meaningfully.
On Sundays, I share a photo of a dish offered to the monks, an audio recording of Phra Bryan's teaching, and my personal reflections on the insights and questions these teachings bring, even as I continue to learn and understand them.
BodhiTreePath.org is a place to explore meditation, practice generosity, and discover peace in simple moments. Join the journey - nourish your body, mind, and spirit, one mindful step at a time.
