About the event
This coming Sunday, instead of our usual meditation session, LP Chalee Hermitage will host a special gathering. On this day, monks from the temple community will join together for the traditional Pāṭimokkha recitation, a ceremony where the 227 monastic rules are chanted aloud, reaffirming their commitment to the path of practice.
The schedule for the day:
11:00 AM – Food offering to the monks (almsgiving) followed by a shared community meal
1:00 PM – Pāṭimokkha recitation ceremony (please note: there will be no guided meditation this Sunday)
Everyone is warmly welcome to attend, observe, and participate in the offering and community gathering. This is a rare opportunity to witness one of the most important practices of the monastic community and to connect with the tradition in a meaningful way.
